"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Attention Your Pending Package.

I am Mr. Peter Perry, Interim Assistant General Manager and head of luggage/baggage storage facilities (Operations, Maintenance, Transportation) here at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport. During my recent withheld package routine check at the airport storage vault, I discovered an abandoned package from a Diplomat from Africa and when it was scanned, it revealed an undisclosed sum of money in a Metal Trunk Box weighing approximately 110kg.

The consignment was abandoned because the contents of the consignment was not properly declared by the consignee as "MONEY" rather it was declared as personal effect to avoid interrogation as well as the inability of the diplomat to pay for the United States Non Inspection Charges which is $3,700USD, The details of the consignment includes your name, your email address and other official documents from the United Nations office in Geneva are tagged on the Trunk box.

However, to enable me reconfirm if you are the actual recipient of this consignment, I will advise you provide your names, phone number and full address to enable me cross check if it corresponds with the details on the official documents including the name of your nearest airport around your city and please note that this consignment was supposed to have been returned to the United States Treasury Department as unclaimed package due to the delay in concluding the clearance processes.

So as a result of this, I will not be able to receive your details on my official email account in order to enable me to cross check your details, I will advise you to send me the required details to my private email address (peterperry@aliyun.com) for quick processing and response. Once I confirm you as the recipient of the trunk box i will proceed to make a delivery arrangement within 48 hours to deliver the consignment trunk box to your house address after you have paid for the United States Non Inspection Charges of $3,700USD only which is the main reason the consignment was abandoned.

I wait to hear from you urgently and I will appreciate it if we can keep this transaction confidential in order not to jeopardize my job because this abandoned consignment was supposed to have been returned to the United States Treasury Department as an unclaimed package. Please note that the major reason I contacted you is to seek your help financially with any amount of money from your heart for passing this vital information to you because I don't want to lose the money and also I don't want the consignment box returned to the United States Treasury Department as an unclaimed package.

Lastly, upon your response to this email I will send you a copy of the ultra scan report to prove the existence of the consignment box.
