"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Important Legal Information.

Hello,

My name is Arthur Pattison , a lawyer here in Scarborough, Canada. I know these are unprecedented times, but I believe there is an opportunity at such times.

My deceased client has an unsolicited permanent life insurance contract, the transaction involves an uncollected cash deposit "payable on death" of GBP 17, 820 000,00 (seventeen million, eight hundred and twenty thousand pounds) with a USA Based bank.

The policy holder was one of our clients with the same surname as you who worked for the Department of Energy & Climate in the USA where he died of cancer.

Since his death, no one has volunteered to claim, and all our efforts to find his relatives have proved unsuccessful. He has no wife and children.

The Insurance Company's Code stipulates that "uninsured permanent insurance contracts" must be handed over to an abandoned property division of the state after 8 years. I request your consent to cooperate with me regarding the entitlement to this insurance benefit, given the fact that you share the same name with the deceased. If you allow me to add your name to the policy, all proceeds will be processed on your behalf. I would like to emphasize that I want 10% of the transaction to be distributed among charities, while the remaining 90% will be distributed among us.

We will not break any laws with this claim, because I have all the necessary documentation to speed up the process in a highly professional and confidential manner. I will provide all relevant documents to substantiate your application as a recipient.

Please Note that This claim requires a high level of confidentiality and Your earliest response to this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Consider this offer and send me your information as follows for documentation

1, Full name (as it appears in your means of identification),
2, Your contact address / Country of Residence,
3, Your direct mobile phone number
4, Date of Birth
5, Your Profession

Yours faithfully,

Attorney Arthur Pattison
