"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Hello and greetings,

Hello and greetings,

My name is Laurato Patels, I inherited the HELP AND CARE humanitarian
center, a none -governmental organization. I am the adopted child of
Dr Elizbeth patels, who has been in coma for over there months now, we
do not believe she will make it alive again.

I have just been informed last week by a banker that money totaling
2.5 million dollars that was supposed to be for our organization, may
be hijacked by someone else, the banker told me so and asked me to do
something urgently about it.

I don’t know what to do about it, the bank cannot listen to me because
I am underage, I need your urgent help to secure this money from the
bank for our organization. This is urgent please.

We have children that are hungry here, we have children that need to
remain in school and if nothing is done urgently, terrible things will
start happening, we don’t want to close HELP AND CARE humanitarian
homes.

We have on-going projects, children in schools, children that have no
parents, children that have faced abuse, and children that have drug
addicted parents.

If you do not intervene on our behalf, we don’t know what we can do,
we don’t know how we can continue keeping and caring for the children.
Some of our staff have left the job and sincerely, we are in crisis, I
can no longer sleep, I am confused and frustrated, you need to help us
recover that money, the bank can make all the documents available to
you. You can also take some part of the money if you want as
compensation for your help, we can also make you a partner at HELP and
CARE Humanitarian Home. You can also work with us as a volunteer, the
choice is all yours.

I will tell you more, only when you have agreed to help us, do we have
a website, contact details, and I will make them available when I hear
from you. I really do not want to send this distress message, but I
have no choice now.

We just want keep HELP AND CARE humanitarian home functioning, for the
sake of children under our care.

This is a call to help save vulnerable children and women, is a call
to help humanity and I would be glad if you don’t turn it down.

Thanks, and remain blessed.

With a Friendly greeting

Ms. Laurato Patels
