"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam
The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.
Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.
Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Some comments by the Scam-O-Matic about the following email:
- An email address listed inside this email has been used in a known fraud before.
- This email uses a separate reply address that is different from the sender address. Spammers use this to get replies even when the original spam sending accounts have been shut down. Also, sometimes the sender addresses are legitimate looking but fake and only the reply address is actually an email account controlled by the scammers.
- The following phrases in this message should put you on alert:
- "is 100% risk free" (almost true for the criminal trying to scam you - arrests of online criminals are rare)
- This email message is a 419 scam. Please see our 419 FAQ for more details on such scams.
- This email lists free webmail addresses. Use of such addresses is typical for scams. Lotteries, banks and any but the smallest of companies do not normally use such addresses. Criminals use them to anonymously send and receive email at Internet cafes.

Subject: Lucrative Business Proposal /
I apologize for coming into your privacy; I believe strongly that this mail meets you in good condition. My name is Haverkorn Thomas,
I would like to share this lucrative business opportunity with you. I am a supplier of pressurized raw materials that is used in manufacturing of so many life-saving medicines to Abbott laboratories in the USA. I supply majorly of these raw materials; Bio herbal oil extract Jerodroxin HT 04. This product is used as suppressive drugs for HIV, gives good analytical results and proves to be a corrective cure for CANCER and helps in curing TUBERCULOSIS. It is a blend of rare herbs from organic plants that are nurtured in good environmental conditions to achieve great results after careful preparation.
I used to buy Jerodroxin HT 04 for $7,700 per barrel from Turkey and supply it to Abbott laboratories at a price rate of $16,200 per barrel, but the quantity they ordered now is 80 barrels which I cannot handle for now due to other engagements. Usually the Abbott laboratories order was for 15 barrels and I supplied them with ease but now their order quantity has increased due to high demand for the COVID-19 and CANCER drugs. Hence I solicit you to join force and partner with me to execute this order as I don't have the capacity to supply the demanded quantity for now; and we shall share the proceeds by ratio in accordance per barrel purchased. I have already supplied this product three times so far to Abbott laboratories and have all my past dealings records with me in case you want to have a look at it.
This is 100% risk free. The supply payment terms of the Abbott laboratories are 100%. Payment is. guaranteed at sight of the bill of lading from the Turkish Herbal Company; and it has always been a successful, transparent and stress-free business. I wait to elaborate as I anticipate your earliest response.
Looking forward to doing this business with you.
Best Regards
Haverkorn Thomas
