"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Dearest Confidant

This is a private effort to introduce a partnership intention and proposal to you.

I am a private investment consultant, and a civil servant of the Cabinet Affairs Ministry of the Republic of South Sudan. I plan to venture into an investment profile of large volume, for which I seek to engage you as my overseas representative. Total value of the first transaction will be the equivalent of US$68,500,000. The successful completion of the first transaction will determine if I still retain you for the rest.

Though my proposed remuneration package is impressive, it is made flexible enough to accommodate some adjustment if necessary, and my parameter of assessment qualifies you as the candidate I want for the position from your country.

If this is something you can do, I will appreciate your early response, so that I can provide more and appropriate details of the entire proposal, given the fact that this is only a skeletal introduction.

Please take note that this is a private proposal from me, and not on behalf of the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs.

Regards,

Mr. Bakhit Douglas Manyang
