"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Good Morning ,

I know that you will be surprised to receive this mail from me today.
My name is Anna S. William, This letter is highly privileged and it
requires your immediate attention because we lost one of our Bank
customer who happens to be from your country also has the same family
name as you and he had a fixed-term Deposit worth of $4.7 Million with
our Bank before his death.

Given to your nationality with our late Customer Michael, I know you
may not actually be in any way related to him but for you sharing the
same name with him will make it easy to get the funds to your name and
both of us will divide the funds 50% 50% once the money
is transferred into your account.

I look forward to your immediate response.

Kind Regards,
Anna S. William.

God morgen ,

Vennlig hilsen,
Anna S. William.
