"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Re: Urgent Attention Needed !!

Dear friend,

Greetings to you and your household. I write this letter to you with broken heart and great sadness in my heart. Due to an urgent situation.

I'm a Mexican/American, a widow. I lost my husband one year ago in Jakarta Indonesia due to complication from Covid-19 virus. We have been married for years without children. My late husband died a few days later after contracting the Corona-virus. When my late husband was alive he had huge sums of money in total of $24,000,000.00 in an Indonesian security company were the funds is secured. We were planning to create a charity organization here in Indonesia.

Recently I was diagnosed brain tumor, the doctors said that I may not be able to live up to Three Month due to the brain tumor/cancer issues. The disease that bothers me the most was a stroke, after knowing my status, I decided to entrust these funds to you to take care of those who are less privileged. You will use this fund for the purpose of charity as i mentioned above. for your kind acceptance and trust, 30% of the entire funds goes to you while %70 goes for charity.

I am an orphan and has no family member, I found you while looking for the face of God, my heart tells me you are a good person for this great work that I am about to give to you. I'll connect you to the security company as my most trusted person as soon as I get response from you. Please contact me personally to my private email address below.

I wish you the best of luck in everything, especially to the proper use of these funds. Please write directly to my email: hap.hlinh@imf-id.org

Sincerely yours,
Mrs. Eugenia Gregorio.
