"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

I'm Dr, Northan Hurtado. Deputy medical director, based at Doctors Without
Borders/Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF) in New York.
Doctors Without Borders (Is an international humanitarian-aid
non-governmental organization (NGO) and Nobel Peace Prize laureate, best
known for its projects in war-torn regions and developing countries facing
endemic diseases).

I started working with MSF in 2002 as a physician in a therapeutic feeding
center in Kaala, Angola. Since then, I have worked in several MSF missions
including Niger, Nigeria, Guatemala,Ghana , Sudan and also in 2007 joined
the MSF-France headquarters , where i worked as medical referent for
tuberculosis, hemorrhagic viral fevers, neglected diseases, and
immunization before moving to MSF-USA in May 2013.

Currently I was among the doctors assigned by the MSF for humanitarian-aid
in in Eastern Europe countries and I have in my possession the sum of $
8.500.000.00 ( Eight Million Five Hundred Thousand United states dollar )
My sincere intention in writing to you is to gain your kind permission and
acceptance to assist me receive and secure this money on my behalf in your
