"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: CAN YOU ?

From Mrs. Amina Kone
My Dear in God

I am the above named person. I am married to Mr. Abdulahi Kone a widow and
I want to make a donation of £8,000,000. Eight Million British Pounds
only to help Orphanage, Widows and Charitable organizations in your
Country.

My late husband of blessed memories deposited the funds in a security
company here in Ivory Coast and my name as the next of kin to the
consignment containing the funds, declared as family valuables for
security reasons.

I want you to come forward and help me claim this consignment containing
the funds and use it for its purposes.
I will give you 10% of the total money for your effort and another 5% for
any expenses that will come from your side in the process of getting the
funds out of here , then the rest for the work of God.

I assume that you will be able to receive this Fund and use it for my
wishes to the needy in your country, i am seriously sick and admitted in a
private hospital for now doing everything with the help of the nurse
assigned to me.

Please always put me in your daily prayers because I don't know when it
will end with me and reply back to me immediately for more details about
this fund.

Thanks,
Mrs. Amina Kone
