"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Contacting you

I am contacting you today because of an approved fund of (US$5.2 million) on your name that is still floating on our Central computer Database as unpaid funds. Without any delay therefore, you are required to get back to me as soon as you receive this message, reconfirming your full name, your receiving address and your direct telephone number where to reach you, a scan copy of our identification to enable us process payment via Automated Teller Machine, (ATM CARD) then send to you immediately and forward the tracking number for you to know when it will get to your house. And when you receive the ATM card, you can then proceed to any ATM MACHINE or CASH POINTS and start making withdrawal of your funds without any problem because you have already cleared all the required blockages.

As soon as you receive this message today, I anticipate your urgent compliance to this effect.

Thanks and remain blessed
