"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Do You Believe In Faith and Giving?

Hello Good Friend,

How pleasant to hear from you and to my optimost regards. I
hope you find my email confident and of high priority as I
believe that this business is going to be of great benefit for us
both. Like i said in my previous email that i am a businessman
and deals in Valuable merchandise and gold. I will be very direct
because in business what's most important is trust between two
parties.

I stand as a consultant for clients who wants to acquire gold and
other kinds of merchandise for 55 year and i'm 75years old now, I
must say that i have been blessed from the business. The truth is
that i have been diagnosed with cancer of the kidney and my
doctor have inform me that i have three weeks to depart earth. I
have decided to do good with the remaining of my life, I have no
relatives that will inherit my inheritance and I have decided to
contact you so that you can help me fulfill my dying wish rather
than letting the company confiscate it.

I am writing from my sick bed and i want you to know that i have
pure gold worth $2.5m in a Security Volt in Ghana to be very
precisely. Due to my sickness i am unable to be at disposal to
ascertain the gold, so i informed the management that i will
present with my next of kin and they accepted.  My dying wish is
to give 60%of the worth to the orphanage / less privilege and 40%
to you. I hope i can trust you to help me fulfill my dying
wishes, all i need is for me to introduce you to the security
company as my next of kin.

If i can trust you i hope to hear from you with your Name in
full, Home Address,Age and Telephone number for contacting you.

Best Regards.
Michael Tonne.
