"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Loan Funds Available

Dear Beneficiary,

After signing the Giving Pledge in 2019, I decided I was going to
give away at least half of my fortune to charity and towards
improving the lives of those in dire need of immediate support as
a result of the Covid-19 pandemic. So far I have been able to
give out $12 billion USD in donations to charities, schools,
churches, businesses and individuals across the globe through The
Scott Foundation. I'm currently donating another $4 billion.

An online polling was conducted by The Scott Foundation from
which your email emerged as one of the lucky winners of
$6,850,000.00 USD donation grant from me. You are to contact MRS.
ANNA EDWARDS for more information if you're interested in
receiving this donation.

MRS. ANNA EDWARDS

Congratulations.

Yours Sincerely
Mackenzie Scott.
