"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Good day my dear

Good day my dear friend,

I apologize for approaching you in this manner, but I have a proposal for you. My name is John White, and I am a captain in the American military. However, I have been serving in Syria for the past 16 months as part of my mission.

I need to get the amount of Eleven Million Five Hundred Thousand US Dollars ($11.5 million USD) out of this location as soon as possible.

I am seeking for someone to trust it with, and I have also discovered a way to transfer this money out of Syria through a delivery service that delivers food to this refugee camp.

If you will assist me in getting this money out of here and hold it for me until I finish my duty in 8 to 9 months, I will give you half of it.
If you're interested in my offer, kindly respond to my email.

Thank you
Captain John White
