"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: I am waiting to hear from you

Dear Friend,

I am Mrs Nicole Benoit Marois, I suffer from ovarian cancer and the
doctor says I have little time to go. I am originally from (Florida)
USA but based in Africa in Lomé-Togo during eight years as a business
woman dealing with gold export.

Now that I'm about to finish the race like this, without family
members and without children, I have 5.3 million US dollars in the
Continent Security Bank (CSB) Lomé-Togo that I asked the bank to give
(St Andrews Missionary Home) to Togo and I asked the bank to transfer
the money to the first foreigner who requests it at the bank after my
departure to release the fund to him, but you will assure me that you
will take 50% of the money and give 50% to the orphanages in your
country so that my heart may rest with GOD. I wait your response
immediately before anything happens to me. Please contact me via my
Email address for more details. mrs.nicolebenoitmarois@gmail.com]

Marois
Best Regards,
Your friend,
Mrs. Nicole Benoit
