"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Can I Trust You ? !!!

Hi xxx,

Greetings, I'm Mrs. Esther Barrows. I'm presently hospitalized because I am suffering from cancer of the breast and from all indications my condition has worsened according to my doctors and they have advised that I have limited time left because the cancer has gotten to a very bad stage.

Since the death of my husband, I decided not to remarry, so I sold all our belongings when I was first diagnosed with cancer and deposited all the sum valued at USD 4.6 Million with my bank in 2019.

Presently, I am in the hospital and this money is still with my bank and the management has contacted me to come reactivate my account as it has been dormant for a long time or rather issue a letter of authorization to somebody to receive it on my behalf, before they get it confiscated.

I have lost my ability to talk or walk and the only means I can communicate for now is by writing.

I wish to bequest this fund to you or your organization as it is my last wish to see that this money is invested to any organization like charities organization, widows and the poor or motherless babies’ homes.

I Hope you are a God-fearing person, as I will like you to help me accomplish these dreams before my death.

I will be issuing you a letter of introduction to send to my bank as my next of kin in order for you to claim the funds and help me accomplish my wishes as I have said earlier.

Please contact me on my private email address (mrs.esther.barrows@outlook.com) as I will be waiting for your response as regards my request.

I hope to hear from you.

Best Regards,
Mrs. Esther Barrows
