"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: RE YOUR CONTACT

Dear Sir

I am Eng. Andrew Yakubu, former Chief Executive Director, Nigerian
National Petroleum co-operation (NNPC). Due to economic melt down,
political uncertainty and poor infrastructure to boost local business
in the country Nigeria, i look for a genuine foreign partner for
business investment. I have a total sum of $167,000,000.00 for
investment.

If you accept my proposal, this money will be wired to your account
as a sub-contractor of Nigerian National Petroleum Co-oporation, all
the legal documents to process and effect payment will be officially
and legally issued in your name.

The most interesting thing in this matter is if this money is claimed
and invested in your country, it will robust the economy of your
country, alleviate unemployment and help our children unborn, so look
into it and come back to me with your advise. Let me know the best
avenue the money can be invested in your country.

Please, if you are not interested, let me know to avoid waiting for
you endlessly. i shall give you further explanation as soon as i hear
from you.

Eng Andrew Yakubu.
