"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: SPECIAL GREETINGS.

Special greetings to you, How are you doing today? I do hope this
important email meets you in great health. However, it is not
mandatory nor will I in any manner compel you to honor me with a
response against your will. I am Mrs. Angela Forsyth from England and
I presently live in London. I'm a devout Christian and I'm currently
receiving treatment in my home.

I was married to Mr. Alan Forsyth who was also a devout Christian and
was in the oil and gas business before his death. He had solid ties in
the crude oil business before his death in April 2000. Since his
death, I decided not to re-marry or get a child outside my matrimonial
home, which the Bible is absolutely against. I chose to remain a widow
till death in honour of my late husband.

When my late husband was alive, he deposited the sum of $53 Million in
my name with a bank. This wasn't the only money we had. This was just
savings in my name. My husband and I are very wealthy by virtue of his
businesses and connections in the oil and gas industry. Even with that
much wealth, we were very quiet, modest and humble people. Recently, I
was told I had about 3 months to live due to cancer I have been
battling with for many years now. Having known my condition and the
fact I have no need of this money any more, I have decided to hand
this money over to someone with the fear of God who will utilize this
money the way I am going to instruct herein.

Purpose of this proposal:
I want a good person that will use this money to fund orphanages, poor
widows, widowers, the homeless and also to support the propagation the
word of God and to endeavor the house of God is maintained. Also to
help those who are truly in dire need of financial support. I took
this decision because I have no child to inherit the money. Alan and I
never had children. We had everything money could buy except children.
I don’t want a situation where this money will be used in an ungodly
way. That is why I am making this decision. I am not afraid of death
as I desire to go meet Alan where he is to continue to be married to
him even in the after life. I know I am going to be in the bosom of
the Lord with my sweet husband Alan.

I want you to always pray for me because the Lord is my shepherd. My
happiness is I lived a life of a worthy Christian. Whoever wants to
serve the Lord must serve him in spirit and truth. I need you to
always be prayerful all through your life. Please assure me you will
act accordingly as I stated here without betrayal or using the money
for other purposes.

Thank you for taking your time to read this. I'm hoping to receive
your response soon.

Remain blessed in the Lord.
Mrs. Angela Forsyth.
