"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: FROM THE BANK OF AMERICA, YOUR $7,500,000

Your detailed information has been received and confirmed with what we have
in our database. Before we proceed to set up your Bank of America personal
residential online account, we want to tell you about the simple procedure
to achieve this goal with our bank under my supervision. First and
foremost, the source of funds previously reported in my initial email was
from the United Nations Organization on Unpaid Deposit Fund Payments from
Africa, Asia and Eastern Europe. Your name and contact information were
obtained from the short list data on file with the United Nations
Organization. If you try to remember, you will remember that you did some
business in any of the three regions mentioned (Africa, Asia and Eastern
Europe) and the purpose of the selection was done randomly by the United
Nations Organization. Our bank stands out from all the currently distressed
banks in the United States and North America to allow the payment of your
overdue transaction which has been ding for the last few years.

I want you to clearly understand that I am here to serve you in accordance
with the instructions of the FBI, National Security of the States and the
United Nations Organization in particular. Also, I'm not here to play any
kind of joke with you. Authorizations from The Federal Reserve Bank and the
US Department of the Treasury to allow your online transfer to go through
smoothly have been issued to our bank. In the meantime, you should clearly
understand that, before we can set up a new Bank of America personal
residential online account for you here at our bank, the activation fee
must be paid by you and will be reflected in our database and will activate
your original account that was instructed by the United Nations. You must
send the sum of US $550 dollars to activate your Bank of America Personal
Residential Online Account, this payment will be credited to your online
account before we can fully remit the value of the amount of US $
7,500,000.00 American dollars. That's why it's important that you first
receive the Bank of America Personal Residential Online Account activation
fee from our bank, which would then record and file the $550 US dollar
payment for the activation of your new account and forward the information
to our headquarters here in the US.

The funds would then be received, in turn recorded in the system, and once
viewed, an instruction to that effect would be issued and the documentation
would be formally submitted to the Federal Reserve Bank as described in my
most recent correspondence with you. explaining. Please, if you can't
afford this US$550 dollars, please don't reply to my email; We don't have
time to beg you to set up Bank of America Personal Residential Online under
our supervision. Once you pay the US$550 dollars, be sure to send your
information here in the email.

1. Your full name
2. Contact address
3. Phone number
4. Occupation
5. Age/gender.

Thank you

Harold Wesley
