"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

*Greetings,*

*I am Ms Olena Shcherbakova, a board member of National Bank of Ukraine
(NBU).*

*With tears in my eyes, I am appealing for your urgent assistance and
support at this critical moment of my life, i used the transparent services
of a relief and recovery organization here in Ukraine to move the sum of
$15.6M USD to a reputable security company outside Ukraine . This was done
in anticipation of the war which later came to reality , i was able to flee
the country and now, i am presently hiding in a country outside Ukraine
and i will disclose my location upon your assurance to protect me, all my
achievements have been destroyed in Ukraine. I lost my husband and my two
children are presently displaced without trace.*

*I am sincerely appealing for your help to assist me to receive the
suitcase loaded with $15.6M USD into your country, i want to depart from
my hiding place here to meet with you and start a new life, Ukraine as a
country is totally destroyed by Russian troops. It will take a long time to
rebuild Ukraine, perhaps, it is better I start a new life earlier since I
have lost everything I labored for. I am hardworking, dedicated and a
reliable person before this evil war wrecked my entire lineage.*

*i need your sincere and honest response for us to succeed in this
arrangement, my purpose is for your to invest the funds and also
established a charity home for the refugees .If you are able to handle such
an amount of money in trust please get back to me urgently with your
willingness to proceed, we shall work out the modalities for a smooth
conclusion since i have all the paperwork intact although i don't know you
but we can resolve this mutually. The Russian president declared all the
board members of National Bank of Ukraine wanted, because we fund the
Armed Forces of Ukraine.*

*NB: my story is heartbreaking, i am emotionally and psychologically
traumatized , i am thinking how everything just vanished within a twinkle
of an eye. Nobody knows what life will be like tomorrow, I never know I
will be in this helpless situation. I am feeling helpless and it is
difficult to cope with this horrible situation.*

*Thank you*
*Ms Olena Shcherbakova*
