"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Dear Sir,

My name is Karl Johnson CEO Initial Consult Ltd, I am a Professional
Agent and my Principal a former Top Libyan Politician consulted me
recently and asked me to look for a reliable Investment Manager that
could take available investment funds as loan on a one digit interest
rate repayable in full after 10 years.

The fund Investment amount available for placement are over (US$200M),
hence I zoomed into searching through a database called business index
through the British Chamber of Commerce unfortunately I got your email
through a database and after going through your profile, I decided to
reach out to you.

If this business is positive to you, kindly send me your full names,
your telephone and mobile number for a brief oral discussion with you,
please be informed that both parties may be required to meet one on
one if need be in any of the African country’s for a round table
discussion, proper identification of both party as well as signing of
a Memorandum of Understanding/Agreement with the investor.

As you may know before we get the business started there must be a
legal and binding agreement with the investor before you could offer
your own free will, volition and initiative. However, it is
imperative to inform you that this transaction does not require any
upfront payment from either party, the only thing that is required of
you is trust and cooperation. Be properly advice that your Hotel
Reservation is our priority I am looking forward to hear from you so
as to enable us make a positive move for your coming.

For your kind perusal open the attachment file and view the picture of
the Lybyan Politician my good self and two of my nominal directors,
of course this snap photograph was taking in my office 5 days ago
after I must have sealed agreement with the investor regarding this
business, please acknowledge receipt by return mail.
