"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Dear owner
=20
I am Mr.Frank Brown, Head Officer-in-Charge, Administrative Service Inspe=
ction Agency in Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport Atlanta. During ou=
r investigation, I discovered an abandoned shipment through a Diplomat whic=
h was transferred from JF Kennedy Airport to our facility here in Atlanta, =
and when scanned it revealed an undisclosed sum of money in 2 Metal Trunk B=
oxes weighing approximately 110kg each. By my assessment, each of the boxes=
contains about $4M or more.
The consignment was abandoned because the Content was not properly declar=
ed by the consignee as money rather it was declared as personal effect/clas=
sified document to either avoid diversion by the Shipping Agent or confisca=
tion by the relevant authorities. The diplomat's inability to pay for Non I=
nspection fees among other things are the reason why the consignment is del=
ayed and abandoned.
As I did say again, the Diplomat abandoned it and ran away most importan=
tly because he gave a false declaration, he could not pay for the yellow ta=
g, he could not secure valid non inspection documents, etc. I am ready to a=
ssist you in any way I can for you to get back these packages provided you =
will also give me something out of it (financial gratification). You are to=
reconfirm your full name and address to enable us to start the process for=
the release and delivery.
