"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: how do we get Your relative's funds transferred to you?

Greetings Beneficiary ,

We are contacting you because one Mr. Mike who happens to be
your relative had an investment portfolio with us, which we
managed well for him and his profit is overdue for withdrawal, we
have been trying to reach you or anyone related to him by name to
come for this withdrawal since we can't reach Mr. Mike for a
long time now and after series of questioning and findings, we
were told he died in an accident.

We saw your name on his record with us as his next of kin, and we
have been trying to reach you or anyone related to him by name to
come for this withdrawal since we can't reach Mr. Mike for a
long time now and from our findings, we were told he died in an
accident.

We decided to trace back to his records with us and we saw your
name on his file with us as his next of kin, we have been on this
mission to reach you or anyone related to him by name to come for
this withdrawal since we can't reach Mr. Mike anymore.

We will be glad if you cooperate with us and be sincere enough to
let us know if we are on to the right person or not and if you
are currently available to receive his investment capital
alongside with his overdue profits.

More details about the investment amount and profit made will be
made known after full confirmation and verification of your
identity.

We Hope to hear from you soon.

Sincerely,
Susan.
