"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

This letter is from UPS delivery company, my name is Robert Rightman,
I am a new appointed director here in California, when I was going
through all the abandoned packages in my security store, I saw one
package contained your name and email address and I was trying to
understand the reason why the package has been abandoned, but I
couldn't find any good reason to delay the package until this date

As the new manager in this office, I have decided to release all
abandoned packages from my security store. I made my first contact
with the director of IMF here in California today, to get me a lawyer
who can issue all the necessary documents for the delivery of your
package, I want you to stop contacting anyone else because none of
these people know's where your compensation package is

I really want to help you, but you will promise to stop communication
with anyone else including companies or offices, I will make sure your
package arrives at your door without any misunderstanding.

Please note that a sum of $250 US dollars will be needed for all the
required documents, I look forward to hearing from you after reading
my message. Do not forget to submitting your data to avoid incorrect
delivery.
