"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Hello dear good day,

This is a personal message directed to you and I hope that you will
receive this message in good faith and kindly give attention to it.

My name is John Robert from Dublin, Ireland, Based on good
recommendation that you are straightforward and reliable to do
business within the areas of investment and financial partnering, I am
writing to acquaint you with a transaction and monetary transfer of
US$12.5Million which is currently domiciled in Irish Bank.

The transaction is 100% genuine and secure as the deceased has no
family or relatives. Both the next of kin died in the car accident
since 4 years and the accounts has been inactive since then. Based on
the country's new banking policy, which stated that such money either
be donated to orphanage homes or been returned to the Government.

We need a partner in the state to have custody of the funds; we can
invest on Real Estate which is at the low presently or other business
in the State after the funds is been transferred to you.

No financial obligations will be required of you as long as trust and
mutual goals apply. You will not spend or send a dime to us or to the
Bank as we already have all arrangements sorted out with the bank
branch manager to swiftly conclude this transfer to you.

I await your urgent response if really you can handle this deal.

Best Regards,
John Robert
