"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Dear friend.

Dear friend.

My name is Janet Magufili, the widow of late Tanzania president who just in
office from complications arising from coved19, the remains of my late
husband has been buried and the former Vice President sworn in as the new
president, it became very urgent and necessary that I contact well meaning
and trusted indiviidal who will help me and my children My late husband
disclosed to me before he passed on to glory certain amounts he deposited
some money in three offshore accounts namely HSBC bank London UK , HSBC
bank New York and NORDEA bank in Norway respectively,

We shall work in complete secrecy and I swear to protect your identity and
personality in the course of this transaction. I have all the requisite
documents to buttress this claim provided you are willing and have the
capacity to assist me in transferring one of these accounts to safe heaven,
we shall mutually agree on the terms and conditions of sharing this fund
after sccessfully depositing this fund in your chosen bank.

The reason for this urgency is not far fetched, the new president is on
rampage, looking, using the all the responses at his disposal to attack my
family, urging some of the government officials to oppress my family,
sending government security operatives to go from place to place to trace
any money in my late husband's perceived accounts.

She has vowed to make efforts to track down some of these accounts, we need
to truly expedite action to protect few of these accounts before she takes
over what my husband had labored for all his life, therefore, If you are
keen and interested do get back to me urgently using this email address,
janetmagufuliwidow@gmail.com.

Thank you and remain blessed.
Mrs Janet Magufili.
