"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Shipment

During our investigation, I discovered an abandoned shipment through a Dip=
lomat from the United Kingdom which was transferred from JF Kennedy Airport=
to our facility here in Atlanta, and when scanned it revealed an undisclos=
ed sum of money in 2 Metal Trunk Boxes weighing approximately 130kg. The co=
nsignment was abandoned because the Content was not properly declared by th=
e consignee as money rather it was declared as a personal effect/classified=
document to either avoid diversion by the Shipping Agent or confiscation b=
y the relevant authorities. The diplomat's inability to pay for Non Inspect=
ion fees among other things are the reason why the consignment is delayed a=
nd abandoned. By my assessment, each of the boxes contains about $8M or mor=
e. They are still left in the airport storage facility till today. What is =
required right is your FULL NAME, PHONE NUMBER, AND HOUSE ADDRESS which wil=
l be used for verification and the delivery of your consignment without fur=
ther delay. Thanks Mr. David Murray, Head Officer in Charge, Inspection Uni=
t, United Nations Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport Atlanta, Georgia=
