"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Re. Good News my Dear

Dear Beloved,

How are you doing today my darling friend, I am Mrs Mariana Lopez, a
widow to late Engr. Emiliano Lopez from Mexico, before demise of my
late husband we lived in Kuwait with for 20 years and currently
residing in London United Kingdom. I am 80 years old and presently
suffering from Leukaemia. My health condition has gotten worse and
just two weeks ago my doctor informed me that my condition has reach a
critical stage, and that I have just 3 months left.

My late husband is a contractor in both Kuwait Gulf Oil Company and
Kuwait Petroleum International, he died in a plane crash and during
the period of our marriage we could not bear any child. I inherited
all his businesses and wealth both in Kuwait and in Mexico SA. We were
married for 22 years without a child.

Since his death I have been battling with Leukaemia, ovarian cancer
and fibroid. When my late husband was alive he deposited the sum of
$9.7M in a bank in Mexico.

Presently, the deposited funds are still with the bank in Mexico,
Having known my condition I decided to send this funds to you you'll
use it to build orphanage homes, worship centres and as well as help
widows.

Honestly i pray you use this said funds with all sincerity to do all i
stated. I took this decision because I don’t have any child that will
inherit this funds and my husband relatives had withdrawn all his
deposited funds both in Kuwait and United Kingdom due to my health
condition.

Note: I don't need any telephone communication in this regard because
of my health and of the present of my late husband relatives around
here waiting for when I'll die so they would be able to claim
remaining deposits.

Thank you,
Yours Sincerely,
Mrs Mariana Lopez.
