"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: GOOD DAY

Hello,

I know it will be a great surprise reading from me today but consider
this a divine intervention. My name is Sgt.Kate Watson, I am a single
woman and an orphan. I am presently in a military camp in Hama Syria,
where i work as a military nurse and I am 32 years old.

I have a special reason why I'm contacting you and it is very urgent.
Please read carefully for understanding. Actually, i have some money i
kept under courier service company ($5.5 million USD) here in a
security company and that money is the money i have secured since all
my lifetime of serving the Government as a military officer in the
United Nation/NATO air force, and also some other money which we got
from securing some group of oil companies because of the threat of the
Syria terrorism over here in Syria since my peacekeeping mission for
the past 2years.

Due to the United Nation policy on Syria, there is a plan to move some
troops out of Syria, so i will be among the people that will be among
the officers that will be moving out. I cannot take this money to the
United States because since they know me as military personnel, they
will want to know how i come about it. Due to this i want you to help
me and receive the money in your country through shipping company, as
you know because of regulation here in Syria, it will be impossible to
send money from here by bank transfer to you as the banking policy
here now is very restricted and strict.

I will tell you more about myself and what you need to do with the
money once you receive it. Give me your word that you will not betray
my trust so that i furnish you with more details about the security
company. Please it’s urgent and very important you keep this email
confidential.

Sgt. Kate Watson.
