"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Need help for Mariana Tinirau

--
Hi ,My name is Mariana Tinirau I live in BENIN under the statue of a
Gabonese refugee because of the war. My father when he was alive had
worked in the oil industry and deposited a sum of US $850,000 as an
legacy which is in a leading Bank of Africa, International Bank of Benin
where he used my name as a close relative and only daughter. I'm an
orphan without a family. My biggest wish is to find a foreign partner to
help me transfer that money to another country. I have all the papers
with me. I agree to offer you 20% of the total amount of your desire to
help and 10% for any expenses you may incurr.
I will give you more details about me and this legacy in my next post if
you voluntarily decide to help me. God bless you
My best regard
