"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Hello, my dear friend,

I've been pressured to get in touch with you and see how we can help each
other. My name is Jacke Lawrence and I've been the Managing Director and
Group Head of Global Banking and Markets for Scotiabank in the United
States since January 2021. In this role, I'm responsible for the Bank’s
Global Banking and Markets business line and strategy across its global
footprint.I guess it's God's wish that I come across you now. I want to
share with you an important business discussion, which I believe will be of
interest to you because you will benefit from it.One Late Mr.CHARLES
STEVENSON had a fixed deposit with my bank in June 2016 for 36 calendar
months, valued at $34,600,000.00 (Thirty-Four Million, Six Hundred Thousand
US Dollars) the due date for this deposit contract was the 16th of June
2019. Sadly, Mr. Charles(Late) was among the death victims in the July 20,
2018 Tornado in central Kentucky that killed numerous people and that was
how he met his end. The management of my bank is not yet aware of his
passing, I knew it because he was my friend and I was his account manager.
When the account was opened, Mr. Charles did not refer to any parent/heir,
nor was he married or had any children. Last week my bank management asked
Mr. Charles to provide instructions on what to do with his funds if he
wants to renew the contract. I knew that would happen since Mr Charles
passed away and cannot renew his contract with my bank.To find out more
about our bank, click on the links below:

Since then, I have been looking for a way to manage the situation, because
of the threatening opinion of the bank's board of directors if my board of
directors of the Bank becomes aware that Mr Charles is dead and does not
have an heir they will have no hesitation in using the funds for personal
and selfish purposes I don't want this to happen, That's why I contacted
you and I'm now seeking your cooperation to introduce you as Next of
Kin/Heir to the account. If we can get a concrete agreement, we'll work
through legal channels, and then my bank head office will release the
account in your name. There is no risk involved, the transaction will be
executed within the framework of a legitimate arrangement which will
protect you from any violation of the law in accordance with my established
terms. The money should be claimed rather than left to bank managers, who
are already rich. I'm not an avid person, so I suggest we split the funds
equally, 50/50% to both sides, my share will help me touch many dying
lives.
As you let me know what you think about this, I have even more to write
to you about the follow-up details in my reply as soon as I read from you.
Due to certain security concerns, you will receive this in your spam. All
information shall be deemed to be highly confidential. Keep that under
wraps.
