"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Hello,
My name is Mrs. Angela Smith. I am a British citizen. My husband died
of COVID-19 and I am currently in a hospital suffering blood cancer.
Currently, my condition is very bad and my medical report proves that
I may not survive this cancerous disease.

My husband left a legacy of 6.200.000.00 GBP in a bank here in London.
I have no children that will benefit our patrimony. Having known about
my condition, I decided to use the fund to establish a
non-governmental and a non-profit making organization to support needy
children as well as the less privileged during this hard-time of the
coronavirus pandemic.

Due to my present health condition, I will not be able to handle this
project. Therefore, I want to donate the fund to you so that you will
set up a non-profit making organization to support needy children as
well as the less privileged. I'm aware of the World Wide Charity
Organizations but I'm not certain how they would use the fund and that
is why I prefer to establish a foundation in partnership with a
trustworthy individual. I would appreciate your good heart of humanity
to establish this foundation in your country.

I don't want you to have any fear or worries because this transaction
is not deception. This fund is legal and my intention is in good
faith, genuine and authentic. I made this decision because I have no
children that will benefit our patrimony after I die and my condition
is very bad. A simple act of kindness to support needy children as
well as the less privileged can go a long way and mean a lot to save
their lives. To support needy children as well as the less privileged
are true expression of love and very important. I await your quick
reply for more details.

Thank you,
Mrs. Angela Smith
