"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Business Proposal More details !!!

Sir/madam,

I would have sent you a registered letter but I do not have your physical address but because this medium is the fastest, I decided to use it. Meanwhile, if I have violated your email account privacy by this action of mine, I apologize.

I want to be brief now, but I will explain in detail when you indicate interest.

My late boss inflated a contract invoice while he was in office and the contract has been paid. The excess inflated amount running into millions of USD is still waiting to be claimed. This excess is the inflated sum and belongs to nobody, but the company has mandated me to find and locate the contractor.

I want to present you as the contractor whose fund is still not paid.

I assure you it is safe and easy to do within a matter of days.

More details when you indicate interest.

Yours truly,

David Ige.
