"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Hello

--
I am Sgt. Warren Zinn I was with the 71 infantry battalion in Gardez
as a US soldier in Afghanistan. In one of the deadliest Operation
Anaconda, the first major ground assault and the largest operation
since Tora Bora, was launched against an estimated eight hundred
al-Qaeda and Taliban fighters in the Shah-i-Kot Valley south of the
city of Gardez (Paktia Province),we stubbled into the al-Qaeda and
Taliban dump site and armory and we discovered so many things
including raw gold bars, Dollars in so many truck boxes and different
level of sophisticated arms.

However, I and my wing commander made away with $25,000,000
(Twenty-five Million Dollars) and unfortunately he died in the battle,
These funds was taken away from Afghanistan by a Diplomatic means
through the help of a Red cross officer who does not know the contents
of the package to South Africa and deposited in a safe place,
Consequently, I am soliciting for your help to receive this funds as
the beneficiary, for assisting me you will have 35%,60% for me while
5% is meant to take care cost and expenses. Get back to me me for more
details if you are interested.
Kindest Regards,
Sgt,Warren.
