"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam
The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.
Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.
Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Some comments by the Scam-O-Matic about the following email:
- This email uses a separate reply address that is different from the sender address. Spammers use this to get replies even when the original spam sending accounts have been shut down. Also, sometimes the sender addresses are legitimate looking but fake and only the reply address is actually an email account controlled by the scammers.
- This email message is a 419 scam. Please see our 419 FAQ for more details on such scams.

Subject: FROM CONSULTANT OFFICE
Greetings From Mr Beku.,
This is to inform you about the new development that will bring to the
successful transfer of your long overdue funds payment. We have
finalized every arrangement with a US Accredited Financial consultant
attached to Bank of America. With her own arrangement with the Bank of
America, the Bank has accepted the fund and the deposit has been made
into the Bank Escrow account pending when the fund transfer will be
finalized.
An agreement was reached between her and the Bank on how the funds
will be transferred into your account to avoid stoppage of the funds,
no matter the documents you think you may have with the Federal
Government; the funds will be transferred into your account as an
investment fund that is being originated from the bank.
The funds will be backed up by the Bank that will allow your Bank to
accept the funds without any hitch, this is the only way the funds can
be transferred successfully. If the fund are being transferred as a
contract payment, a lot of documents may be required which may cause a
lot of issues arising on the legality of the contract. This decision
was made by her based on her experience about funds transfer
transactions.
Below are the procedure arrangement:
The bank will send a representative to your country/State. The bank
representative will be with you to sign the agreement that will prove
that there was an agreement that was signed between both parties and
the document will be registered with the SEC and legalize the fund as
an investment fund. The representative will be with you until the
$10MillionUSD is credited into your account before her departure.
On your acceptance and readiness to follow the procedures, you are
advised to contact the Financial Consultant on her personal email to
provide you with the information of the Bank representative that will
be coming to handle the assignment and also with further instructions.
Note: Upon your response you will receive the Bank representative
Direct contact information to follow the procedures..
Always get back to me for further instructions to avoid mistakes.
I await your response.
Mr Beku.
