"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Dear friend,

Good day,

With all due respect, I'm sorry to bother you again, but you didn't respond
to the emails I sent last week about the business proposal.

I apologize for invading your privacy, especially for contacting you by
this means for a business transaction of this magnitude, due to the
seriousness and urgency involved that made it so necessary for me to seek
your help.

My name is David Mack. I am an American lawyer living and practicing law in
Dubai - UAE for the past 15 years.

I seek mutual benefit assistance from you to claim the $8,000,000.00 USD
(Eight Million US Dollars) fund deposited at DIB bank here in the UAE by my
deceased client, who happens to have the same last name as you.

I am contacting you for three (3) good reasons.

Firstly, my deceased customer is from your country, which makes the
complaint more credible.
Second, he has the same last name as you,
Thirdly, I strongly believe that the finance company does not deserve to
inherit the funds.

Please, I would like to know if I can work with you to make this
transaction of great mutual benefit?

I will send you more details as soon as you give me your cooperative hand.

I await your urgent response.

Thanks

Sincerely,
Lawyer David Mack.
