"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Dear Partner......Business Proposal !!

Dear Partner,

I hope this message will meet you in good faith. I am Andrew Paul Hoult, an employee of a security company based in the United States of America.

I have a very confidential business proposal for you. In January 2001, My client Late Mr. Bruce Louis Halley deposited a box with the security company for investment worth Twenty Eight Million Five Hundred Thousand United States Dollars. He died on 6 December, 2003 near Oxford's airport due to a Socata TBM 700 aircraft crash.

After several unsuccessful attempts to locate his next of kin, I decided to go over the Internet, to try and see if any one could be of assistance to me. I have contacted you to assist in repatriating the box of money left behind by my client to your country, before they are confiscated or declared unserviceable. The security company has issued me a notice to provide the next of kin, or have the box confiscated within the next Thirty working days.

Since I have been unsuccessful in locating the relatives for years now, I seek your consent to present you as the next of kin to the deceased, your last name is immaterial. Note also that it does not matter whether you are biologically related to the deceased or not as a next of kin may be a parent, sister, brother, close relative, associate, friend or even a well-wisher.

All I require is your honest co-operation to enable us to see this deal through, then you and I can share the money in the ratio of 2:3. I will guide you according to the instructions, you can contact me through this private e-mail address (andrewpaul.office@gmail.com)

Best Regards,

Mr. Andrew Paul Hoult
