"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Attention

How is everything going, I hope great?

Though, I have not considered this medium to be the best manner to have
approached you on this issue being that the internet has been greatly
abused over the recent years and is very unsecure for information of vital
importance like this.

My name is George Green(Sgt) an American combatant soldier, I am still
serving in the military of the 1st Armoured Division which went for rescue
missions in Iraq. As you know, before we were recalled back home to the
Unted States, we were constantly attacked by insurgents every other day and
even with car bombs, it become come worst especially after the death of
Saddam Hussein and some of his cohorts.

During one of our rescue Missions we came across several safes that were
hidden underground in different spots in the country; most of these safes
contained valuables, precious properties but we stumbled on a very
particular one which contains physical cash to the tune of $21,000,000
(Twenty One Million US Dollars) that belonged to the revolutionaries, which
I believe they used in purchasing weapons, Arms and ammunitions to aid
terrorism.

My entire troop that were present that, made this findings agreed that the
money be shared amongst us. Before we were recalled back, we made
arrangements with the health officers (Red-Cross) to move this large parcel
out of Iraq to United Kingdom - London, where it is presently secured at a
Security Vaulting Company.

You can go to this web-link to read about events that took place while we
were in Iraq: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/ middle_east/2988455.stm

Out of the total funds it was agreed that, my share would be $8,000,000
(Eight Million US Dollars).I am now seeking your assistance to accept to
receive my share of the money from the Security company in United Kingdom -
London where it is presently being vaulted.

In as much as you can assure me that my own share will be safe in your care
until I agree on where we shall meet, I shall be compensating you with
US$2,500,000.00 (Two Million, Five Hundred Thousand Dollars) on final
conclusion of this project, while I shall make use of the rest for my
investment purposes.

One passionate appeal I will make to you is not to discuss this matter with
a third party; and should you have reasons to reject this offer, please
destroy this e-mail as any leakage of this information will be too bad for
me and my entire returned remaining troop members.

Please, if this proposal is acceptable by you, kindly send me an e-mail
signifying your interest including your most confidential telephone numbers
for quick communication also, your contact address where the fund would be
delivered by the Security Vaulting company.

As soon as I receive your email with the information,I will furnish you
with full details on when and how the fund shall be delivered to you by the
Security Company which will complete the arrangement with the delivery
courier company.

Waiting for our urgent reply.

Best regards,
Sgt. George Green.
