"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: My Dear, Please confirm receipt.

Hello,
Greetings!!!
My name is Beatrice Susan Denis I’m a Lawyer by profession.
Am in need of help of a trustworthy resident in your country to help
me retrieve a very good client funds (which are quite substantial)
from a Togo Bank, we estimate the amount to be in the region of
US$6,500,000.00. He passed away without any next of kin, I require
your help and time for which you will be duly compensated. My client
was a foreigner which is why I cannot be able to claim the money alone
without help from a foreigner. But I have put a solid arrangement to
transfer this fund to you as my client business associate.

Please let me know if this is something you would be interested in to
enable me give you more information.

I look forward to hear from you.

Best Regards
Madam Beatrice Susan Denis.
