"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: From your friend Alia

Compliment of the day to you and your family.,
How are you and your beloved family? I hope they are in good health
and you are doing fine? I am writing you as a friend with the hope
that you can be of help to me. i know that many Syrians have fled out
of Syria while some are displaced, some are taking high risk through
sea and land to seek refuge in Europe, and some even died during this
risky migration. Right now in Syria, we might have been humiliated by
the ongoing crises in my country, but i believe that we can still make
friends with good people like you, that understand and feel our pains,
people that knows how devastating war is.

Please permit me to inform you, i have the desire to come over to live
in your country. I got your contact from your country business
directory and i pray that after reading my letter GOD will touch your
heart to help me. My name is Alia Abdul (a Female); I am from Aleppo,
Syria, but presently I am living in SOS Children Village as a Refugee
under United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR) here in
Ouagadougou Burkina Faso.

I am the daughter of late Mr. Ali Abdul a Syrian businessman. My late
father died in a bomb blast in Syria in 2015, while my mother died in
2012 a year after the war began in Syria.

I need your urgent help to transfer my inheritance which my late
father left for me in the Bank. I have the entire documents for the
transfer which i will send to you as soon as i confirm your interest
to help me. i need you as a trusted and reliable foreigner to stand as
my "foreign trustee” to receive the money in your country. The money
deposited in the Bank is sum of usd$25.3 million (twenty five million,
three hundred thousand united states dollars), and I need this money
to be transferred to your account so that I will come over to live and
invest this money in your country and complete my education, as you
know my country has been in deep crisis due to the civil war going on
in Syria and I cannot return this money to Syria or go back to Syria
because I have lost all my families in the war.

I am honourably seeking your assistance in the following ways.

1) To provide a bank account where this money would be transferred to
you while I come over to your country, because there is no future for
me here in Burkina Faso.
2) To serve as the guardian of this money on my behalf.
3) To make arrangement for me to come over to your country to further
my education, and invest the money and secure a residential permit for
me in your country.

I am willing to offer you 25% of the total sum as compensation for
your effort input after the successful transfer of this money to your
bank account.
Furthermore, you can also indicate your option towards assisting me as
i believe that this transfer would be concluded within just seven (7)
days you signify your interest to help me.
I anticipate hearing from you soon.

Thanking you in advance.
Yours Truly,
Alia Abdul.
