"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Seeking for your Cooperation !

Hello dear,

My name is Mr John Maluife,I am the personal assistant to Late Mrs Linda Bates of Linda Bates foundation.I write to seek for your cooperation concerning the sum of $50 million Dollars inheritance fund that belongs to late Mrs Linda Bates who died some years ago.

At this moment, the fund is deposited at the vault department of a prime security company of which i want your name to be changed as the next of kin to the fund to enable us lay claim on the money since nobody knows about this particular money except her only daughter who died in a car accident last time.

Meanwhile,The security company has written to Mrs Bates that her money will be confiscated since her account is no longer serviceable without knowing she is dead.

Please we need to apply and claim this money and plan to invest with it in any country of your choice instead of losing it to the security company. More details will be given to you as soon as you respond to this message.

I wait for your urgent mail,

Regards,

John Maluife
