"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Attention: Please???????

Dear Sir,

I am a Lawyer by name Goncalves Sedaminou and I represent the interests of Hatsue Shikuzu and Yoshiko Ishii (sisters) both children of a Japanese businessman who owned and managed a Property and Finance company before he died in the year 2004.

At his death. these two sisters inherited the sum of 7.5bn Yen. Recently, they found documents suggesting that the sum of US$9.5 million was deposited by their late father in a security deposit firm in Europe. The sisters whom I represent are at the moment having problems with their government over tax evasion charges and as a result, all their property and investments were seized. They now see this new discovery as a life line to save them from the sudden poor situation in which they have now found themselves!

As a result, I'm contacting you to help with making proxy claim to this deposit in order that you may also help invest these funds and repatriate profits from time to time. We shall enter into agreement on the proposed investments as soon as the deposit has been successfully procured.

Please treat with urgency. I shall provide further details after I have received your response.

Yours faithfully,

Goncalves Sedaminou (LCA)
