"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Good Evening ( For Your Attention Only Please)

Greetings!

I am Mr. Kiby T Douglas and I was opportune to have headed a contract
committee set up by the Presidency to Investigate and Audit all
contracts carried out by all Federal Ministries/Agencies here
comprising of Local and International contracts.

It was during this official assignment , I found out that a huge
millions of dollars belonging to a contract number
fgn-fm3756volrdp453/md21-1998-2001 is floating and after much
verification carried out by my committee, we noticed that a late
contractor was in the middle of processing his contract sum to be
released to his bank account, he died with his family in an earthquake
disaster which occurred in Bam, South Eastern city of Iran.
Check on this link for your verification
(http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/talking_point/3350195.stm).

The late contractor executed the contract through the Ministry of
Works & Housing (FMWH) and the contract value is US$18.750M..

Meanwhile, his money has been approved for payment by the Presidency
through the Federal Ministry of Finance, awaiting for him to receive
notification order from the paying bank for the final endorsement of
the Fund Release Order of his money. I'm here to solicit for your
Trust/Co-operation to claim this sum,US$18.750M (Eighteen Million
Seven Hundred & Fifty Thousand United Stated Dollars) for the both parties to
share.

We want to present you to the ministry as his next of kin/ his business
associate so that his total contract sum will be administered to you
and thereafter both of us will share the money base on any sharing
ratio the both of us might agree upon, since we have been unsuccessful
in locating any of his relatives.

If you are going to give us your Trust and Cooperation of going into
partnership with you, I will request that you send the following: 1.
Your complete names/address, 2.private phone numbers and 3.valid
identification. These will be use to put up a release claim letter to
the contract award department and to the finance sector here on your
behalf.

Finally, you will understand with me that this claim is a deal between
you and me only and must be kept top secret. I will communicate back
to you with my contact details, as soon as I read from you.

Waiting for your urgent reply.

Kind Regards,

Mr. Kiby .T. Douglas
