"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Good day Sir

Good day Sir,
I am Miss Clara Alfred from Abidjan Cote D'Ivoire (Ivory Coast). I am 22 years old girl orphan. My father died mysteriously during his business trip abroad. My mother died when I was only 2 years old. I have no brother or sister, I was born and grew up as the only child and the next of kin of my parents. Before the death of my father, he told me about his funds deposit of US$6.500,000.00 (Six million five hundred thousand dollars) with one of the prime banks here in my country. I have gone to the bank and confirmed that the money is still in the bank. I need your co-operation and assistance to transfer the money to your account. I want to invest this money in your country with your help.

As soon as the bank transfers the money to your account, you will take 20% of the money for your help. You will also help me to invest the remaining 80% in profitable investments in your country, and we will share the annual earnings of the investment at 40% for you and 60% for me.

May God bless you for your prompt attention. My best and Lovely Regards to you and all your family as you contact me for more details.

I need your help.

Thanks
Clara Alfred
