"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Begging For Your Mercy.........

Assalamailekum!

I pray this letter does not offend you. I am writing it out of sadness, frustrations attached with humility.

My name is Miss Amina Dabo, 23 years old medical student, my father of a blessed memory by name late Mandy Dabo who was the Deputy General Manager with CNPC oil company at the Khartoum refinery in Sudan. He was killed along side with my beloved mother and our family house burnt down by the rebels during the last crisis in my country when janjaweed militias came to our house. I am now writing you from Bamako (Mali) where I escaped through road, and now seeking asylum in the refugee camp
here in Mali.

Please if it touches you at heart, help to relocate me to your country for a better life / continuation of my studies. I have chosen to contact with you because I believe that God works in ways not known to man and may use you to help me.

Being the only surviving child of my parents, he made a secret deposit with a Vaults in Mali with over 700KG of gold nuggets and bars. I am saddled with the problem of securing a trust worthy foreign personality to help me with the evacuation pending my relocation. I have all the necessary documents that I can show you for your checks before further help to me.

If you are touched to assist me, please get in touch with me.

Yours sincerely,

Amina Dabo
