"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.

Hello Sir/Ma,

Hope you are doing fine! I will like you to look carefully into this business proposal as i do believe it will be beneficial for of us. During the festival call “Nguon” in Matoum in the western part of Cameroon i came across a certain American man call Mr.Jackson Brown which i served him as his touristic guide.

During his visit in the village(Matoum) we came across a certain collection of 06 scriptures in which he shown a great deal of interest in acquiring the artifacts, unfortunately The Chief told me that there are not for sale since there are family sculptures and belong to many people.
Then Mr.Jackson left me with his contact number that at any time they wish to sell these sculptures i should inform him. Some few months later due to certain problems like the construction of a MOSQUE which have being blown down due to heavy rain fall and also the construction of a bridge linking the village with other towns, just to name a few coupled with the ill health situation of the chief.Due to the problems named above the chief and his family members have decided to sell these scluptures.

Then i went to that village and asked for the price. They told me there were selling them at the sum of 780.000.000 FCFA,(Seven hundred and eighty million francs)in EUROS €1.250.000.00 Euro (one million two hundred and fifty thousands euros) Because they are very old prehistoric and highly commercialized authentic art objects.

Reasons why i want you to stand as the new owner of the objects that way i can negotiate with a lawyer here to get the objects on credit from the village people forward them to you through freight to your country, you effectuate the sales with Mr.Jackson brown after which you then in turn send what is due to the village community and then give me my part from what we shall have as profit .

It’s a very easy and reliable business because Mr. Chapelle while here in Cameroon was ready to pay as much as €1.700.000.00 Euros(one million seven hundred thousands Euros) but if he knows that you are the new owner and have the artifacts under your keeping as the new owner, am certain he will accept to pay over €2,000 000 Euros.

NB: My reason connecting this business to you is simply because if i put Mr.Jackson Brown in contact with the chief, he will buy them at a very low price since the village is selling them very cheap and we will have nothing to gain .

So Kindly get back to me so that we can proceed. I have already informed Mr Chapelle about the fact that i have a friend who is the new owner and he will want to get in touch with you soonest so as to acquire the objects for his gallery. I wish we proceed soonest in acquiring the objects while i send to you. I AWAIT YOUR URGENT RESPONDS.

THANKS

MR Mgboma AGALI
