"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Hello Sir/madam,
This is to bring to your know that we have received a Payment approval
order to pay you the amount of US$8,500,000.00. This payment is a
compensation scheme fund from facebook and international monetary
fund. Listen you have to be very serious over the transaction because
once we hear from you,we shall forward your information's to the
approved bank, then next will be the bank to contact you for the
processing of your file/payment of the said amount. So based on that,
you have to follow our instructions. I want you to send me these
details because we are going to send you a documents in your name
before the bank contacts you. Here are the requested information you
have to send to me once you receive this message.

Your full name and your address.
Your marital status
Age and occupation.
phone number

Go ahead and send me this details right away so that we shall send you
the legal document once that happens the next shall be the bank to
reach you once they resume work in the morning my time here
