"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: PAYMENT NOTICE CODE 7201

ATTN: Beneficiary

I hope that this correspondence is received with the urgency and expediency required.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation has noticed that your present unpaid fund for the total sum of US$25,000,000.00 currently handled by the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and other affiliated transfer remittance offices are experiencing some man-made irregularities. Due to this we have been invited by the FBI Acting Director Mr. Andrew McCabe to resolve and regularize your payment with immediate effect.

We at BIC FUND ASSOCIATES are professional Fund Transfer Specialists here in the United States and have been duly consulted with complete information about how you have been asked to pay unnecessary exorbitant charges without any success of receiving your funds transfer thus making your fund payment a long drawn out process.

We have stepped into the process to enable your funds to be transferred within the soonest possible time and you are to get back to us immediately without needing to pay all the huge sums that is being demanded from you by the remitting banks. All due procedures to have your funds transferred to you immediately through CITIBANK NA have been initiated to cut out unnecessary costs.

You are advised to keep this communication highly confidential as the FBI have asked us to resolve this fund transfer payment independent of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York to identify the principal participants in this unethical payment procedure. Furthermore, you are hereby advised to stop any future communications with them and pay no further fees or charges as they shall no longer be handling your payment.

We shall await your immediate correspondence with your direct telephone numbers for further discussion so that we can conclude your payment immediately via CITIBANK NA. I will be waiting for your response

Yours Sincerely,

Lewis Munroe
