"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Greetings

Greetings in the name of God Almighty,
I am an old widow of aging 68 suffering from cancer disease for a long time and I do not have a child in my marriage. I am currently admitted in a private hospital; more, I have huge money that I inherited from my deceased loving husband that he has deposited in the bank. My situation is really bad and it is obvious that I will not live more than two months, according to the medical report reviews and since I have no child who will inherit this enormous amount of money, then I want to seek your assistance in the fulfillment of my desire to donate this fund through you, to help the widows and the less privileged in rural and urban areas, and to perform the charity operation in your country. Please you must be an honest person to accept this offer. Finally I found your address e-mail from the Internet and decided to contact you. Please if you would be able to use these funds respond immediately.
