Obras Públicas invertirá más de dos millones de euros en el desdoblamiento de la carretera entre Elx y Santa Pola

La Conselleria de Vivienda, Obras Públicas y Vertebración del Territorio ha iniciado la tramitación de la licitación de las obras de duplicación de calzada de la carretera CV-865, Elx - Santa Pola, entre la intersección con la CV-851, en la Vereda de Sendres, y el inicio del tramo ya duplicado de acceso a Santa Pola. Simultáneamente, se está incoando el expediente para la obtención de los terrenos necesarios para la ejecución de las obras.

Según ha informado el director general de Obras Públicas, Transporte y Movilidad, Carlos Domingo, "el presupuesto de la actuación asciende a 2.006.659 euros y el plazo de ejecución es de 18 meses". La carretera CV-865, de la red de carreteras de la Generalitat es la vía que conecta Elx con Santa Pola y sirve de acceso a la pedanía de Valverde, al polígono industrial de Santa Pola y a diversas urbanizaciones y casas diseminadas.

Además, Carlos Domingo ha apuntado que "esta obra forma parte del conjunto de actuaciones previstas por la conselleria en la carretera CV-865, Elx - Santa Pola, para mejorar las condiciones de circulación y los niveles de seguridad vial de un eje que soporta en la actualidad un tráfico bastante elevado, con una intensidad media de 17.221 vehículos diarios" .

"Con esta actuación, el departamento que dirige María José Salvador quiere mejorar la fluidez del tráfico y de las condiciones de seguridad vial de los vehículos, peatones y ciclistas que circulan por este tramo de la carretera CV-865 mediante la duplicación de calzada y la reordenación de las intersecciones y accesos existentes, dotando a la carretera de unas características de vía parque", ha destacado el director general.

La actuación contempla el desdoblamiento de la calzada existente, la cual pasará a tener dos calzadas de dos carriles cada una, separadas por una mediana de 1,20 metros de ancho, en la que va dispuesta la instalación de alumbrado, así como la reordenación de accesos y la supresión de una glorieta partida existente. Para el resto de usuarios, peatones y ciclistas, se ha previsto la sustitución de los carriles bici actuales por una acera de 2,50 metros de ancho en la margen derecha y un carril mixto ciclo-peatonal de 3,50 metros en la margen izquierda, el cual da continuidad al ya ejecutado.

Por su parte, los ayuntamientos de Santa Pola y Elx colaborarán con la Conselleria de Obras Públicas mediante la cesión de los terrenos urbanizables y urbanos necesarios para la construcción de estas obras.
