"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Greetings to you

Greetings to you,
Please accept my apology for writing you this email, it is because this is the only way to get to you, I did not know you before but i believe great friends know each other one day.
My name is Mrs. Caroline Ababe, wife to late Dr. Patrick Ababe, republic of South Sudan.
I inherited some fund from my late husband, $7.4 Million, my husband was murdered by group of rebels, who attacked our home in Juba, Sudan, and killed him with two of my children.
I and my only remaining little son escaped from South Sudan, and we arrived to Ivory Coast, with the help of U.N Refugee Agency.
The fund is deposited with a security firm, in Abidjan here for safe keeping.
I want you to assist me, because a foreign partner is needed to sign and get the fund released, as planned by my late husband.
I have agreed to offer you 30% of the entire fund (seven million, four hundred thousand United States dollars) you will also help me to invest the remaining %.
I will direct you on how to contact the firm, for the process.
All the documents are with me.
Please clandestine this transaction and keep it to your self alone, for security purpose.
I await your reply!
Thanks and sincerely yours.
Mrs. Caroline Ababe.
